6/4/2006 · The other meeting is one we just started doing so we started at the beginning of the Big Book and read a chapter every week for the first three weeks then the last week of the month we read out of As Bill Sees It and have open discussion. I really love these meetings, I know around here we don't have enough Big Book meetings! Jen
The “Big Book Step Study” (BBSS) format, based upon an AA meeting format originated in Hyannis, Mass. in the 1980’s, is part of a very structured way of working the 12 Steps out of the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. In many BBSS meetings, only members who have worked the 12 Steps according to this structure are permitted to share.

The first Thursday of the month is an "As Bill Sees It" meeting, with and speaker on a selection for that book, followed by open sharing.
